Member Guidelines
Member Guidelines
- This is your lodge so look after it like you would look after your own home. Please be proactive rather than assuming that someone else will sort it out.
- Please be considerate of all members. It’s a shared environment that only works when we respect our fellow members.
Maintenance
If something needs fixing, fix it or if you don’t have the skills or equipment tell Dave (there is a tool kit in the sideboard).
Supplies
If we need supplies, let Dave know. Supplies are kept in cupboard under kitchen bench (door side) or under lounge seat for toilet rolls. A list of usual supplies can be found in the lodge manual.
Spa
You need to look after the spa when you are at the lodge even if you do not use it. Please check and adjust chemicals during your visit. See the lodge manual for spa procedures.
Cleaning & Other Tasks:The cleaner only comes once a week and only does bathrooms, floors and kitchen surfaces, so members also need to share cleaning tasks of common areas.
Don’t leave cleaning and other stay / departure tasks to the last person to leave (the checklist can be found on the back of various doors).
Share tasks such as restocking the woodbox and toilet paper, taking out the rubbish, and digging out the steps if it snows.
Linen:
Don’t forget your linen – pillow slips, sheets, doona cover/sleeping bag, towels.
Energy Conservation
Gas and electricity costs are very high in Dinner Plain and we also want to conserve energy to Protect Our Winters.
- Please turn off any electric heaters during the day when you go out skiing/snowboarding (and check the lower lounge heater is turned off overnight).
- Don’t have the heaters and fire cranked up so hot that others need to open windows.
- Close blinds in the evenings to maximise heat retention.
- Put the lid on the hot tub after you’ve finished using it.
The lodge manual contains other useful information (a hard copy of the manual can be found on the bar in the lounge).
